Join us online today for Census Day!

Today, Wednesday, April 1st, is Census Day, which is a key date for the Census. By now, every home in the country will have received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census.

Do your part by filling out the Census online and reminding a friend or family member to help make sure Texas counts!

We here at the Center for Public Policy Priorities have been hard at work to make sure every Texan is counted in the 2020 Census, including those in hard-to-reach communities.

Please join us for a live video stream TODAY with CEO Ann Beeson and Katie Martin Lightfoot, CPPP’s Census Community Engagement Coordinator. Ann and Katie will discuss the 2020 Census and answer any questions you may have about why it matters, how it works and the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the complications in gathering effective data brought on by the COVID-19 crisis, the Census goes on — and is more important now than ever. People can complete the census online for the first time, giving hard-to-reach communities an extra opportunity to get counted.

Join the livestream today (April 1) at 1:30pm CT on our Facebook page. We look forward to (virtually) seeing you there!
